Five Romantic Dates in London

Romantic dates in London

There are more to romantic dates in London than fancy & expensive restaurants in central London.

Whilst it’s easy to go down the tried and tested route of dinner at Nobu, it also might be nice to visit some of London’s lesser known romantic hideaways. After an arduous two years it is time to get back out there and enjoy yourself with a beautiful lady on your arm. At Allure, our high class London escorts are more than happy to accompany you anywhere you’d like to go. In fact, they’ll really appreciate the thoughtfulness that you’ve put into the date and look forward to going somewhere different.

We have compiled a short list of creative and unusual dates for your inspiration. Still very much romantic but less obvious than your usual upscale haunts. From Hampstead to the South Bank, we’ve got it covered.

The Pergola and Hill Garden, Hampstead

The very famous Hampstead Heath appears regularly in film and television because of its gorgeous views of London. Notting Hill, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, 101 Dalmatians plus dozens more were filmed here. The area also boasts a whole host of celebrity residents: including Dame Judi Dench and Liam Gallagher. A popular spot for photo shoots is the Pergola and Hill Garden on the Heath. A beautiful and meticulously landscaped garden which was once a private garden to a now torn down house. William Lever or Lord Leverhulme, the founder of Lever Brothers, acquired the property in 1904 and completely redesigned “The Hill” to make it in part what it is today. Once intended for garden parties, you can now enjoy the beauty of the greenery and stone pillars which overlook London. The breath taking views are sure to impress, there is something so special and idyllic about this part of town. Words cannot do the Pergola and Hill Garden justice; so you will simply have to pick a sunny date, select a stunning Allure lady and go to see it for yourself.

Wyld Afternoon Tea at Dandelyan, South Bank

Fancy some afternoon delight? Have your cake and eat it at Dandelyan. Located in The Seacontainers hotel on the South Bank, you will be treated to a stunning view of the River Thames. Champagne and botanical cocktails are on offer to wash down the delicate sandwiches and scones. It is a gorgeous venue and a modern twist on the very English “afternoon tea” concept, which is sure to impress any date. The Dandelyan is famous for its cocktails; so famous it was voted the number one cocktail bar in the world back in 2018 and the head bartender is known as Ryan “Mr Lyan“. The eats are just as creative with rose and lychee infused cakes and smoked duck on offer.

The London Eye, Champagne Flight, South Bank

Take a flight of fancy on the London Eye with champagne; arguably one of the most romantic dates in London. Fast track entry and a glass of champagne on arrival will make you and your gorgeous date feel on top of the world. Well, top of London at the very least. From your pod you will be able to see 360 degree views of this fabulous city. It is only 30 minutes in duration and a real conversation starter, which will not take up the whole of your date together. From there it is easy to head to the Sky Lounge or one of the other restaurants located on the South Bank, making it a date to remember.

Pergola Paddington

Head on up to the roof of the old BBC Television studios. Four restaurants await you for a romantic afternoon watching the sun set or an evening overlooking the bright lights of the city. The space has been transformed into an idyllic garden, complete with fairy lights. Girls love fairy lights and they are an essential for any romantic date. Japanese, burgers, fried chicken and street food will satisfy every taste. It is casual but with a relaxed atmosphere, it does not too try hard and the crowds are anything from late teens to forties. It’s more Chelsea with an edge than Shepherd Bush. Cocktails, a rooftop and a building steeped in history are the perfect ingredients for a romantic London date with a difference.

The National Gallery displays some incredible works from the medieval period to today. Just this week the “Boy Blue” painting by Thomas Gainsborough was returned to the gallery from the United States, having been sold to an American businessman 100 years ago. The gallery is in the heart of Trafalgar Square, so whether you are visiting from out of town or you are a Londoner who doesn’t like taking time out and seeing the sights of this wonderful city; I am sure there will be a painting to capture almost anyone, with 2000 pieces of work on display. A great conversation starter, “beauty is in the eye of the beholder”, as they say. When you have soaked up enough historical and contemporary artistic culture, you and your date can grab a coffee or head to one of the many nearby bars and restaurants.

We said we would think of five special places for you and your companion to go on a romantic date in London but no list would be complete without mentioning Clos Maggiore, so here’s number six on our list:

Clos Maggiore, Covent Garden

If you are a creature of habit and love a good Central London restaurant with a hot date, then Clos Maggiore is really rather special. Sometimes the best romantic dates in London are the tried and tested dinner date. Nestled in Covent Garden this beautiful eatery is decorated with branches of blossom and fairy lights. The cuisine is described as European fusion, contemporary but exceptional. Using seasonal and where possible, local produce to bring you an award winning dining experience. Clos Maggiore also has an impressive cellar of wines to choose from; some 2500 of them and many vintage bottles. What is pretty unique about this place is that you can try many rare wines by the glass thanks to their “Coravin” system. This place will not disappoint, just add a gorgeous girl and you have yourself the perfect romantic date.
