Shoreditch Restaurants

Shoreditch restaurants are a foodies utopia. Every cuisine is covered from each corner of the globe. Shoreditch, situated in the London Borough of Hackney. Where creativity, culture and culinary concepts collide. From Michelin starred eateries to casual diners Shoreditch really proves that you can feast in the East.

Llama Inn at the Hoxton Shoreditch, 81 Great Eastern Street, EC2A 3HU

South America meets Shoreditch. The Llama Inn, Hoxton is a contemporary Peruvian restaurant. The little sister of the original Llama Inn, Manhattan. Sot the bright yellow door and head on in. The greenhouse restaurant and rooftop terrace are the perfect location for a hot date with an Allure model. It does not hold a Michelin star yet, but it has been added to the Michelin guide list. Definitely one to watch and perhaps try before everyone else does. Expect small plates, sharing platters, Pisco sours and South American beers and spirits. Sunday to Friday, the Llama Inn provides the perfect icebreaker: Sour Hour. A Pisco sour happy hour between 4pm and 6pm. Cheers!

One Club Row, 1 Club Row, E1 6JX

An intimate dinner date destination. With just 45 covers, it can be tricky to get a reservation here, but oh so worth it. A kooky and funky dinner spot. It almost feels like a secret club. Dua Lipa is often spotted here. Love the “walk-in seats available” light outside, but it’s best to plan ahead if you want to impress a beautiful companion with a date here. From the outside, it is easy to miss this black door on a graffiti-covered street, but once you pass the thick claret curtain inside, you are transported to Paris. Mahogany chairs and pristine white tablecloths, magnolia-washed walls and stripped-back floorboards all point to a Parisian bistro. A white fireplace that is also a wine store is a simple but effective touch. One Club Row feels like a secret. Indulge in cheeseburgers, scallops, lobster and Martinis. A sophisticated, shabby chic and surreptitious restaurant perfect for a romantic rendezvous.

Gloria, 54-56 Great Eastern Street, Shoreditch, EC2A 3QR

Gloria, the jewel in The Big Mamma Group’s UK’s crown. Not your typical “chain”, however, The Big Mamma Group has six venues in London and one in Manchester. There are currently 28 restaurants spanning 10 countries. A well-oiled machine indeed. All uniquely named, the London outlets are Barbella in Canary Wharf, Ave Mario in Covent Garden, Jacuzzi in High Street Kensington, Carlotta in Marylebone and Circa Popolare in Fitzrovia. Each one has its own personality, but the same vibrant and warm ambience. The attention to detail in the lampshades and the cookery is incredible.

The louder-than-life Italian trattoria is a playful dining destination. Don’t take our word for it, Mick Jagger has been spotted dining at Gloria. Ideal for a first date with a gorgeous companion. With so many “serious” restaurants in Shoreditch, it is great to see somewhere that doesn’t take itself too seriously. Expect homemade pasta, classic Italian dishes and perfect pizza. Come for the truffle pasta and stay for the Aperols.

Welcome to Noisy Oyster, a brushed chrome, too cool for school Shoreditch restaurant spot, focusing on seafood, champagne and Martinis. An industrial looking, exposed brick, old factory kitted out with well-spaced silver tables and chairs. This is the type of eatery you only find in Shoreditch. If you looked up Shoreditch restaurants in the dictionary, there should just be a photo of Noisy Oyster.

Do not skip the Guinness bread topped with whipped butter and roe or the Maritozzo  and caviar to start. The real superstars are the cocktails. The martinis, the margaritas and the Negronis. The terrace is a big draw, especially in Shoreditch. Ideal for a hot date on a summer’s day.
