Luxury Italian cuisine inspired by the Amalfi Coast. Although it is an upscale eatery, there is a heavy helping of fun injected into Alba. Decadent dishes are served on bright, patterned crockery as you sit on sunny, yellow, cushioned chairs surrounded by olive trees. Alba frequently has live singers and DJ’s to bring the Italian party atmosphere to Knightsbridge.

The food is exceptional. Caviar, truffle, lobster, veal chops and, of course, pasta and pizza for you and your beautiful companion to feast on. Alba London really brings the dolce vita to Brompton Road.

The Aubrey, located in  Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, 66 Knightsbridge, SW1X &LA

Opposite Harvey Nics you will find The Aubrey. An award-winning Japanese Knightsbridge restaurant. Hidden beneath the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park. Named after the British illustrator Aubrey Beardsley. During his short life, he was famed for Japanese-influenced black drawings. The Aubrey transports diners back to the 1800s with glamorous gilded decor, green leather seating and gold-framed artwork.

The menu is packed full of all your Japanese favourites; sushi, sashimi and meats cooked on a rowboat grill. The ingredients have been carefully sourced, and most items on the menu, where possible, are local. However, the rice is from Hokkaido Island, and the vinegar is made from sake. The Aubrey is committed to sustainability and does not use any animal products that are endangered.

Maison Ani, located in The Carlton Tower, 1 Cadogan Place, SW1X 9PY

The cuisine may be French Mediterranean, but the Maison Ani’s clientele are citizens of the world. A well-heeled international crowd flocks to Maison Ani for the five-star service and French delights. Nestled in the Jumeriah Hotel overlooking Cadogan Gardens, Maison Ani is the perfect place for lunch or dinner. The outside terrace is small but pretty, and should the weather be sunny, it’s the perfect place to sit and watch the Knightsbridge locals go by. Decorated in soft, warm, inviting hues, it is not just one of London’s prettiest restaurants; the food really is great. Fuss-free but on point. Its proximity to Sloane Street means that it is the ideal way to dine after a few hours of shopping. The steak baguette and French fries are merveilleux.

Mr Chow, Park Mansions, 141 Knightsbridge, SW1X 7QS

A Knightsbridge legend. Mr Chow almost needs no introduction. With restaurants in New York, Beverly Hills and Riyadh, the Knightsbridge venue is in good company. For six decades, Mr Chow has served the finest Chinese dishes. These fine dishes are small with huge prices. No wonder Mr Chow attracts the glitterati. Mick Jagger and Jay-Z are just a few of the famous faces known to frequent Mr Chow, as did the legendary Andy Warhol. This pristine white-walled, refined restaurant is not just beautiful; it happens to serve exquisite Chinese food. Authentic Beijing-style dishes such as noodles, chicken satay and crispy duck.
