“Milan is marvellous, picturesque, and full of elegance” – Wesley Sneijder
Milan is without doubt one of the smartest cities in Italy. It helps that it is home to the impressive Duomo, the stunning Galleria Vittorio, Santa Maria delle Grazie, La Scala and a plethora of ornate monuments and statues honouring heroes and artists. You won’t find many fountains or water features here because of severe drought warnings over the past few years but aside from that it is a very charming city aesthetically. It is also a very pedestrian friendly city as long as you are careful as a lot of the pavements are uneven. There are plenty of pedestrian only zones and it is a great city to explore via foot.
