London Dinner Date Hotspots

London Dinner Date Hotspots

Looking for dinner date inspiration? Look no further. We have compiled a short list of the most magical restaurants for a dinner date in London. Ensuring that you and a hot date have a memorable evening (or lunch). We believe the perfect dinner-date restaurant should be intimate and attentive, with a beguiling atmosphere. Of course, the chow needs to be first class; that goes without saying. However, we have been careful to include a cross-section of cuisines from all over the world to suit everyone’s palate.

Sabor, 35-37 Heddon Street, Mayfair, W1B 4BR

Awarded a Michelin star in 2018, this restaurant will make you and your beautiful date think you are in Spain. Sabor, of course, is Spanish for flavour, and you will certainly find plenty here. Making a reservation in advance is highly recommended. Once inside, you will understand why it is in such high demand. Split into four sections: La Mesa, El Asador, the counter and the bar.

As you enter Sabor on the ground floor, you will find the counter that only accepts walk-ins. A more casual affair. Perhaps the best tapas menu you are likely to sample this side of the Bay of Biscay. Also on the ground floor is La Mesa. For those of you with a GCSE or O-level in French, you will know that La Mesa means “the table” in Spanish. Located on the ground floor. Should you be sitting here, it is because you are likely part of a large group booking. Since we are exploring dinner date restaurants, I’ll whisk you upstairs to El Asador, meaning “the grill”.

You can book a table at El Asador, making it your best bet for a dinner date. Using Northern Spanish cooking techniques. Much of the kitchen had actually been shipped over from Spain, including the copper pans and wood-fired oven. You and a beautiful date can expect to feast on octopus, crab, oxtail, lamb, sweetbreads, tortilla and rice. If you and your date fancy a tipple, the bar here is charming. Offering a vast selection of cocktails and an extensive Spanish gin selection. No wonder celebrities have flocked to this charming and incredibly authentic restaurant.

Kiln, 58 Brewer Street, W1F 9TL

From Spain to Thailand we go. This unassuming restaurant in the heart of Soho is the perfect date location. Especially if you are out and about in the West End. This friendly spot only accepts walk-ins. Staff will happily seat you and your date at the bar if no tables are available immediately. Here, you and your beautiful companion can sample a turmeric gin and tonic or a ginger mezcal. Enjoying cocktails whilst watching the chefs conjure up Thai cuisine in the open fire kitchen right in front of you. Watch in amazement as flames flare from woks and ingredients are tossed into the air. The menu is innovative Thai and Burmese-inspired dishes.

Once seated, you will enjoy an ever-changing menu of small plates. Feast on claypot noodles, soy-glazed chicken, mutton soup, smoked mackerel and lemongrass salad and steak with a chill glaze. In summary, a great atmosphere, attentive service and unique dishes make Kiln a standout dinner date venue.

Jacuzzi, 94 High Street Kensington, W8 4SG

Back to Europe from Thailand, and we have arrived in Italy. No need to bring your swim shorts, Jacuzzi is a fun-filled Italian restaurant located on High Street Kensington. From the restaurant group Big Mama, which also owns Gloria, Carlotta, and Ave Mario. This is larger-than-life Italian cuisine with decor on steroids. The opposite of a serene, sophisticated Italian restaurant like Locanda Locatelli. Just succumb to the primary colours that surround you, and you will have a fantastically fun dinner date here.

There is so much that is remarkable about this eatery. From the retractable roof to the videos of men wrestling in the bathrooms. Thankfully, the food is even more remarkable. The menu changes every month depending on the season and produce available. As one would expect, pasta dishes, pizza, steaks and the most devilish desserts await you and your dinner date companion. Jacuzzi takes walk-ins and “sexy bookings”, as they call reservations. I defy anyone to leave here without having had a wonderful time.

At Sloane, 1 Sloane Gardens, Chelsea, SW1W 8EA

London’s best-kept secret. Private and intimate, this Chelsea restaurant is perfect for enjoying a date away from prying eyes. At Sloane whispers wealth from every. You almost feel you are inside a Parisian townhouse and instantly feel at home as soon as you arrive. At Sloane, it’s actually a hotel, but they do fantastic cocktails and incredible food. You could liken At Sloane to Hotel Costes in Paris.

A French-Asian fusion menu features miso salmon, foie gras, steak, and tartare. You are surrounded by hundreds of beautiful vases, hand-picked and shipped over from Singapore. This top-floor restaurant is for the discerning gentleman diner and a beautiful, head-turning companion. Flooded with light during the day and candlelit by night, this has to be one of the most romantic restaurants in town.

Kitty Fisher’s, 10 Shepherd Market, Mayfair, W1J 7QF

Kitty Fisher was an 18th-century courtesan, and now her namesake is a fabulously romantic restaurant. Kitty Fisher socialised with some of the most influential men of her time and was always lavishly dressed in silk dresses and dripping in diamonds. She was even said to have spent time with Giacomo Casanova himself. What a wonderful ice breaker for you and a beautiful date to muse over.

Upscale and sophisticated, it was said that Sam Cam used to love a date night here. Located in the historic Shepherd’s Market area of Mayfair, this eatery serves modern British cuisine. Kitty Fisher’s is a charming, small restaurant which is fantastic for intimate, dimly lit dinners where you can get to know one another over a decent bottle of red and enjoy an unhurried meal together. The service is warm and friendly, and the lamb, beef and hake are outstanding. Just book a table and take your favourite Allure girl for the perfect date.
