Here’s our pick of four wonderful restaurants in Chelsea for you to take your date to for a fabulous romantic evening for two. We’re sure you’ll both have a great time.

Amelie, 19 Motcomb St, SW1X 8LB
Bringing Provence to Belgravia. Sophisticated and stylish, this is the perfect fuss-free fine dining experience. Perfect for a first date with a gorgeous companion. Refined French cuisine is served in the beautifully colourful dining room, whilst small plates are served on the terrace. London weather permitting, of course.
Amelie also offers an indulgent Sunday lunch, perfect for an unhurried lunch date during your visit to the capital.

Blue Bird Chelsea, 350 Kings Road, SW3 5UU
Another famed Chelsea restaurant is the formidable Bluebird on the fashionable Kings Road. Probably the most famous restaurant in Chelsea. Such a gorgeous, perennial spot. In the summer, the outdoor area is brilliant for people watching. The restaurant and bar upstairs always has a great atmosphere with people enjoying catch-ups with friends, boozy lunches or intimate dates. Immaculately styled with lots of plants and trees, an oasis in the middle of Chelsea. The cocktails are a must. The spicy margarita is 10/10. The menu is seasonal British cuisine and is so good that you can see why it is a Chelsea instituion.

Daphnes, 112 Draycot Avenue, SW3 3AE
Daphnes on Draycot Avenue is something of a London legend. Serving sophisticated Italian dishes since the sixties. Expect beautiful decor, five-star service and incredible food. Daphnes is very much a well-heeled neighbourhood restaurant. The type of place that appeals to multi-generations. Named after the late British actress Daphne Rye, the eatery was opened by Richard Burton. A true iconic Chelsea restaurant that you must not miss when in town.

Azzurra, 127 – 128 Sloane Street, SW1X 9AS
Authentic Italian dining in the heart of Chelsea. Azzurra is inspired by creator David Yeo’s travels through Sicily and the Amalfi Coast. This Mediterranean-inspired menu is certain to please even the most discerning of palettes. Composed of a restaurant, bar and terrace, you can have whatever type of date you desire here. For lunch dates, Azzurra has a fantastic lunchtime special which will set you back just £28 per person, outstanding value especially in the Royal Borough of Chelsea and Kensington. Just add a stunning companion and enjoy.

Cadogan Arms, 298 King’s Road, SW3 5UG
If you were to ask a local Chelsea resident which pub was their favourite, I would hazard a guess that a large proportion of locals would say the Cadogan Arms. After a two-year hiatus back in 2019, the bougie boozer reopened in 2021. Back with a ban,g the Cadogan Arms is a gastronomic chef-d’oeuvre. Carefully curated classic British cuisine featuring black pudding scotch eggs, whole partridge, roasted cod loin, chicken pie and of course fish and chips. Elaborate comfort food on the well heeled Kings Road.
Should you and your date just be popping by for drinks, then you will be overwhelmed with choice. Personal favourites are the clementine margarita and the cherry Paloma. If you prefer pints, then you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to draft beers as well as a variety of cask ales.
If you are travelling from overseas and would like to experience a British pub, then The Cadogan Arms really is a fantastic choice. It’s an elevated pub, ideal for a romantic date in Chelsea with a hot date.
