Some say Ting is the best restaurant in The Shard.
Ting, named after the Chinese word for living room, is located on level 35 of the Shangri-La at The Shard.
Ting at The Shard is an Asian-British fusion offering with stunning views of beautiful London.
In a building as iconic as The Shard, it’s actually quite low-key. Many couples or groups are too busy taking selfies and admiring the skyline to be inconspicuous with a date. Because of its “wow” factor, it’s a popular place for parties and special occasions, and it’s certainly an impressive backdrop for dinner.
Depending on how much time you have or what you are in the mood for, Ting at the Shard offers a light menu as well as tasting menus, à la carte and afternoon tea. The cocktails are pretty special, with seasonal drinks. Faye loves a glass of red wine or a flute of champagne, and with this in mind, the Ting offers a wide selection of both.
Faye loves Asian cuisine, especially Japanese and Chinese, but she’s right about that;
“The problem with Japanese restaurants is that they are often very sushi and sashimi heavy, and if my date does not like raw fish, that limits the choice; so a British-Asian fusion restaurant with beautiful surroundings would be my first choice”
This says a lot about Faye, because she really is a girl who wants to make sure her date is comfortable and having a good time. She is one of the sweetest girls I have met in a long time, albeit with a very cheeky glint in her beautiful eyes.
